Beliefs

We believe there is only One God; the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; the God of the Old Testament and the New Testament.

We believe God is *Triune; Father, Son & Holy Spirit.

Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit
Matthew 28:19

* Triune: meaning God is One Unified, Eternal, and Holy Supreme Being who exists in three co-existing/equal persons. We Christians call this nature of God the Trinity.

THE TRINITY:

1) FATHER: is God as parent, Source of all Being.

2) JESUS CHRIST: who is the Living Word of God

In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God
John 1:1

God manifested Himself through Jesus Christ. He came down in human form and walked as a man; completely God in nature and also fully human.

3) THE HOLY SPIRIT: This is the Divine Presence within human beings who have accepted Jesus Christ as personal Lord and Savior. The Holy Spirit is a PERSON, not a force or energy.

But when the Father sends the Advocate as my representative—that is, the Holy Spirit—he will teach you everything and will remind you of everything I have told you
John 14:26
“There is so much more I want to tell you, but you can’t bear it now. When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own but will tell you what he has heard. He will tell you about the future. He will bring me glory by telling you whatever he receives from me. All that belongs to the Father is mine; this is why I said, ‘The Spirit will tell you whatever he receives from me.’
John 16:12-15

SALVATION FOR ALL OF MANKIND

We believe Jesus is the only way to Salvation. Jesus is the only way to God the Father. Whoever believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life in Heaven.

“For this is how God loved the world: He gave[a] his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life
John 3:16
Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me
John 14:6

We believe Jesus Christ (The Second Person of the Trinity) came down in human form to live and die for the sins of all humanity. He was born of the Virgin Mary. The Holy Spirit planted Jesus inside the womb of Mary, the Virgin. Jesus lived on earth as a boy, a teen, and a man. He lived a perfect and sinless life of love and obedience to God the Father. He suffered and died on a cross as a man, yet He was raised from the dead by the power of God three days later in bodily form.

Jesus told her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying
John 11:25
If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved
Romans 10:9
All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is by his great mercy that we have been born again, because God raised Jesus Christ from the dead. Now we live with great expectation
1 Peter 1:3
One of the twelve disciples, Thomas, was not with the others when Jesus came. They told him, “We have seen the Lord!” But he replied, “I won’t believe it unless I see the nail wounds in his hands, put my fingers into them, and place my hand into the wound in his side.” Eight days later the disciples were together again, and this time Thomas was with them. The doors were locked; but suddenly, as before, Jesus was standing among them. “Peace be with you,” he said. Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here, and look at my hands. Put your hand into the wound in my side. Don’t be faithless any longer. Believe!”
John 20:24-27
And just as they were telling about it, Jesus himself was suddenly standing there among them. “Peace be with you,” he said. But the whole group was startled and frightened, thinking they were seeing a ghost! “Why are you frightened?” he asked. “Why are your hearts filled with doubt? Look at my hands. Look at my feet. You can see that it’s really me. Touch me and make sure that I am not a ghost, because ghosts don’t have bodies, as you see that I do.” As he spoke, he showed them his hands and his feet.
Luke 24:36-40

HOW GOD SPEAKS TO MANKIND

We believe in Divine *Revelation from God (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit).

*Revelation: meaning God has revealed Himself and has spoken to humanity. First, through His chosen people, the Israelites (Jews), and then later to the rest of the world (Gentiles).

For I am not ashamed of this Good News about Christ. It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes—the Jew first and also the Gentile
Romans 1:16

5 KINDS OF REVELATION FROM GOD

1) Evidence for God’s existence can be clearly seen through *nature and the universe that He created with His Infinite Mind and spoken Word.

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth
Genesis 1:1
For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God
Romans 1:20

*Also to note: God is not nature itself. He works with nature but He is beyond and above the natural things. He is Eternal, Infinite, and immaterial, meaning He is not made from anything of nature. He has no beginning and no end. He exists outside of time and nature but works with humans by His grace, and can at His will, intervene with nature. God is Sovereign over all creation.

Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation, for through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can’t see—such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world. Everything was created through him and for him. He existed before anything else, and he holds all creation together. Christ is also the head of the church, which is his body. He is the beginning, supreme over all who rise from the dead. So he is first in everything.
Colossians 1:15-18

2) God has spoken to mankind through His written Word (The Holy Bible). He has spoken to chosen men and poured out His Holy Spirit on them to write down historical events, and speak on His behalf by people called prophets.

3) God has also revealed Himself through the Person of Jesus Christ. He was fully God and fully man on earth. And now He sits at the right hand of the Father in Heaven.

When the Lord Jesus had finished talking with them, he was taken up into heaven and sat down in the place of honor at God’s right hand
Mark 16:19
Now he is exalted to the place of highest honor in heaven, at God’s right hand. And the Father, as he had promised, gave him the Holy Spirit to pour out upon us, just as you see and hear today
Acts 2:33

4) God can also speak today through chosen prophets/prophetesses who have been given the gift by grace from the Holy Spirit. Be cautious however, because if anyone gives you a prophecy that does not align with Scripture or is contrary to the teachings of Jesus Christ you are to dismiss it and move on.

Dear friends, do not believe everyone who claims to speak by the Spirit. You must test them to see if the spirit they have comes from God. For there are many false prophets in the world
1 John 4:1
Now the Holy Spirit tells us clearly that in the last times some will turn away from the true faith; they will follow deceptive spirits and teachings that come from demons. These people are hypocrites and liars, and their consciences are dead. They will say it is wrong to be married and wrong to eat certain foods. But God created those foods to be eaten with thanks by faithful people who know the truth. Since everything God created is good, we should not reject any of it but receive it with thanks. For we know it is made acceptable by the word of God and prayer. If you explain these things to the brothers and sisters, Timothy, you will be a worthy servant of Christ Jesus, one who is nourished by the message of faith and the good teaching you have followed. Do not waste time arguing over godless ideas and old wives’ tales. Instead, train yourself to be godly.“Physical training is good, but training for godliness is much better, promising benefits in this life and in the life to come.”
1 Timothy 4:1-8

5) God can also speak to us through dreams and visions. (Read the book of Daniel) However, also be very cautious with this too. Be sure they align with Scripture and the teachings of Christ Jesus. Always speak to an elder or Pastor in the church about your dream and vision and seek proper council.

Walk with the wise and become wise; associate with fools and get in trouble
Proverbs 13:20
During the third year of King Jehoiakim’s reign in Judah, King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon came to Jerusalem and besieged it. The Lord gave him victory over King Jehoiakim of Judah and permitted him to take some of the sacred objects from the Temple of God. So Nebuchadnezzar took them back to the land of Babylonia and placed them in the treasure-house of his god. Then the king ordered Ashpenaz, his chief of staff, to bring to the palace some of the young men of Judah’s royal family and other noble families, who had been brought to Babylon as captives. “Select only strong, healthy, and good-looking young men,” he said. “Make sure they are well versed in every branch of learning, are gifted with knowledge and good judgment, and are suited to serve in the royal palace. Train these young men in the language and literature of Babylon.” The king assigned them a daily ration of food and wine from his own kitchens. They were to be trained for three years, and then they would enter the royal service. Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah were four of the young men chosen, all from the tribe of Judah. The chief of staff renamed them with these Babylonian names: Daniel was called Belteshazzar. Hananiah was called Shadrach. Mishael was called Meshach. Azariah was called Abednego. But Daniel was determined not to defile himself by eating the food and wine given to them by the king. He asked the chief of staff for permission not to eat these unacceptable foods. Now God had given the chief of staff both respect and affection for Daniel. But he responded, “I am afraid of my lord the king, who has ordered that you eat this food and wine. If you become pale and thin compared to the other youths your age, I am afraid the king will have me beheaded.” Daniel spoke with the attendant who had been appointed by the chief of staff to look after Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah. “Please test us for ten days on a diet of vegetables and water,” Daniel said. “At the end of the ten days, see how we look compared to the other young men who are eating the king’s food. Then make your decision in light of what you see.” The attendant agreed to Daniel’s suggestion and tested them for ten days. At the end of the ten days, Daniel and his three friends looked healthier and better nourished than the young men who had been eating the food assigned by the king. So after that, the attendant fed them only vegetables instead of the food and wine provided for the others. God gave these four young men an unusual aptitude for understanding every aspect of literature and wisdom. And God gave Daniel the special ability to interpret the meanings of visions and dreams. When the training period ordered by the king was completed, the chief of staff brought all the young men to King Nebuchadnezzar. The king talked with them, and no one impressed him as much as Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah. So they entered the royal service. Whenever the king consulted them in any matter requiring wisdom and balanced judgment, he found them ten times more capable than any of the magicians and enchanters in his entire kingdom. Daniel remained in the royal service until the first year of the reign of King Cyrus
